My hand made abaca paper is strong and glued onto the 1/2" x 1/2" basswood supports. I caught the paper on a classic laid screen which gives a slight texture of lines to the paper. Then small squares were cut out of the same paper and glued to create the familiar police box shape.
I hand painted a dark color outline around each square, which you can see when the light is not illuminated.
The lamp measures 12" x 6" x 6" and a support is nailed in at the bottom to hold a brand new UL approved fixture for a candelabra watt bulb. (bulb included)
A support is nailed in at the top as well to give stability. The electrical fixture has a 6 foot gold cord with an in line switch.
